Worcester revokes two dual licences over violence and drugs

WRS also suspends three for late DBS; hackney fleet down ~16% since 2017/18.

Two Worcester dual hackney/PHV driver licences have been revoked in 2026 — one after a police domestic-violence report, another over drug or alcohol misuse.

Reporting cites Worcestershire Regulatory Services’ compliance report: three more drivers were suspended for missing DBS deadlines. Rank checks logged badge, parking, over-ranking and lighting issues; one unlicensed PSV was found acting as a taxi. Penalty points covered over-ranking and conditions breaches. Hackney numbers fell to 220 from 263 in 2017/18; dual drivers to 313 from 370, while PHV operators rose to 19. Joint ops with police and Wolverhampton were noted.
